Hi! so I found a really awesome tutorial that teaches you how to make this

Now, I'm trying really hard to understand it,
but I keep getting stuck when they
reference the pen tool,
So...around steps 5-9.

Is there anyone on here who knows of an equally fantastic picture with a tutorial.
Or can some one simply this tutorial for me, that would be greatThank You!

Hey there.. I was really hoping someone could point me inthe right direction here..
In my head I have this vision of drawing in "love" using the path tool and making it look like its extending from the microphone's cord. However, I can never get it quite right because the lines never come out smooth enough, the path always comes out choppy and some parts are even straight..
Here's a picture just in case (: )

I use to auto cap using KMPlayer, but now I want to auto cap a DVD and it won't let me.  I'm in search for a new program. I've tried VLC player but I can't get it to work right for me. I really don't want to rip the DVD to my hard drive. If someone could tell me of a free program I could use, it would make my day. Thank you in advance.

Hello! I have a scanned image where part of the skin seems darker/uneven compared to the rest of the face.

2 decent-sized images under here )

I've tried duplicating the layer, erasing everything but the skin, and then gaussian blur but there is still a difference in tone. I'm using Photoshop 6. Any suggestions would be wonderful. Thanks!

I have Photoshop Elements 8, and seem to be missing several...effects/plugins/abilities. For example, I DO NOT have the "Channel Mixer" or "Layer Mask" plugins as described in these tutorials:
http://simplephotoshop.com/elementsplus/tutorials/channel-mixer.htm
http://simplephotoshop.com/elementsplus/tutorials/add-mask.htm

Am I blind? :( Can someone please help, for example, posting screencaps, telling me a possible alternate location, or even specifying what subcategory those effects might be in in the effects pallet?

(If this helps - I got PSE8 off of the Platinum Software Suite Deluxe 2010 disk that comes with Windows 7 computers, Dells more specifically.)
